Sharing what we know about brain health.
Education and training for GPs, allied health professionals and the community, on brain health, thinking, dementia and assessment.
Good information helps people notice changes early, ask the right questions, and know where to turn. We are glad to share what we know.
Alongside our clinical work, the team provides education and training on brain health, thinking, dementia and neuropsychological assessment. We speak to general practitioners and practice teams, to allied health and aged-care colleagues, and to community groups. Sessions are pitched to the audience and to the time you have.
Who we speak to

A starting list, not a fixed menu. Tell us your audience and what you would find useful, and we will shape a session to fit.
- Normal ageing or something more? Telling ordinary age-related change from mild cognitive impairment and dementia
- Working up memory concerns in general practice, and when a neuropsychological assessment adds value
- What a neuropsychological assessment involves, what the report tells you, and how to use it
- Understanding dementia, including the different types and what current treatments can and cannot do
- Cognition in other conditions, such as Parkinson's disease, stroke, brain injury and multiple sclerosis
- Decision-making capacity, in plain terms: what it is, and how an assessment helps
- Supporting brain health, and practical strategies for living well with cognitive change

How sessions can run
Sessions can be delivered in person on the Gold Coast or online, to suit your team. They range from a short practice-meeting update to a longer workshop or a community talk, and we are happy to focus on a single topic or to build something broader.
We keep our content evidence-based and conservative, and we are clear about the limits of what assessment and current treatments can offer. Our role is assessment, monitoring and support; we do not prescribe medicines or provide surgical treatment.
