Referrals welcome from GPs and specialists
We accept referrals from GPs, specialists, NDIS support coordinators, insurers and legal practitioners. Every referral is acknowledged when it reaches us, and triaged by a clinical neuropsychologist. If a referral is not a good fit for our service, we will tell you quickly and suggest an alternative where we can.
Want to discuss a case first? Call 0452 452 262 and ask for a clinician call-back, or note it on the referral and we will phone you before booking.

Secure clinical messaging
Refer the way you already work
Your time is short and your inbox is full. Referrals and reports can move securely between your practice software and ours, so there is no new portal to learn and nothing to chase.
Medical Objects and HealthLink
We support secure clinical messaging. If your practice uses Medical Objects or HealthLink, contact us to set up secure delivery, so referrals reach us, and acknowledgements and reports come back, straight from the clinical software you already use.
Kept in the loop, without the admin
Every referral is acknowledged on receipt. We confirm when your patient is booked, and the final report comes back to you, and to others involved in the patient's care with consent, through the same secure channel. You are kept informed at each step rather than having to follow it up.
Secure by design
However you refer, patient information is encrypted in transit and handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and our privacy notice. If secure messaging is not set up with your practice yet, our encrypted online form, secure email and fax are available in the meantime.
How to refer
Three ways to send a referral
- Online (preferred). Complete the referral form and attach any relevant letters, imaging reports or prior assessments.
- Email. Send your referral letter to referrals at brainandmind.com.au.
- Fax. 07 5594 0995. A downloadable PDF referral form is available on request.
A useful referral includes: the referral question stated plainly, relevant history and medications, recent imaging or pathology where available, funding details (Medicare, NDIS plan and contact, claim number for WorkCover/CTP/DVA), and any risk or safety information we should know before the appointment.
